Between our factory and your floor
| Item | Who normally pays | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Export packing | Included in our scope | Confirm it is in the quotation, not an extra |
| Inland freight to port | Depends on Incoterm | EXW vs FOB changes who arranges this |
| Sea freight and insurance | Buyer under FOB | Rates move a lot — get a fresh quote, not last year's |
| Import duty and VAT | Buyer | Depends on HS code and destination — check before you order |
| Customs clearance and port charges | Buyer | Often underestimated |
| Unloading and rigging into the building | Buyer | Crane or forklift capacity must match machine weight |
Costs inside your own building
- Foundations — we provide a layout drawing with foundation and utility points so your contractor can price it properly
- Gas connection sized for the burner, and the permit that goes with it
- Electrical connection at the correct voltage and frequency, plus the cabling run
- Fume extraction routed to outside air, especially for frying
- Compressed air, if your configuration uses pneumatic valves
The two that hurt most when forgotten
Spare parts. Order the wear items with the machine. A low-value wear part with a six-week lead time stops a production line, and the cost of that downtime dwarfs the part. We supply a spare-parts list with part numbers precisely so you can decide what to stock.
Voltage. Retro-fitting motors, gearboxes and a control cabinet after delivery is far more expensive than specifying them correctly before manufacture. This is why destination grid gets confirmed in the contract drawing, not assumed.
Compliance documents — how to handle it properly
Different destination markets require different documentation, and the honest answer is that it depends on your market, your product and how the machine is being placed on that market. Tell us the destination market at enquiry stage and we will confirm in writing which compliance documents can be supplied for your specific order — before you place it, not after.
Be wary of any supplier who promises a specific certification in a first email without asking a single question about your market.
