What 120 kg/h is built from
A rotary pan roaster running 30–60 kg per batch gives you roughly 120–150 kg/h depending on the roast depth. One machine, one operator.
| Item | Spec |
|---|---|
| Core machine | Rotary pan roaster PDK-90 |
| Batch size | 30–60 kg |
| Throughput | ≈120–150 kg/h |
| Operators | 1 |
| Typical add-on | Coating group, if you sell coated or honey-roasted product |
Why this is the right first machine
- A batch roaster lets you develop recipes. A continuous oven wants to run one profile for hours.
- Flavour changeovers cost minutes, not a purge cycle — critical when you are still finding out what sells.
- The same roast curve scales up later to continuous roasting at 200–300 kg/h without reformulating.
- Lower gas and electricity draw means less pressure on the building supply while you are still renting.
What it does not cover
A 120 kg/h line will not serve a supermarket private-label contract. If you already have a signed offtake agreement above roughly 40 tonnes a month, skip this stage and go straight to continuous roasting.
It also will not do simultaneous multi-product output. One pan, one product at a time.
